Derin graduated from Southampton Solent University with a degree in Journalism in 2004 and has written for various newspapers in Southampton and London. She joined FDS in 2007 as an Editorial Assistant and was promoted to the role of Online Editor in 2008. As well as writing articles and proof reading The Franchise Magazine and Irish Franchise Magazine, Derin also writes and uploads news and features for TheFranchiseMagazine.net, IrishFranchiseMagazine.net, Franchise-International.net, and EuropeanFranchising.net.
