Attention! FDS helping ex-servicemen and women

Franchise Development Services (FDS) are helping ex-service personnel to become their own boss and operate a franchise.

FDS will be helping former members of the Armed Forces to take advantage of a new Government campaign to assist them in starting their own business or become self-employed. The £5 million 'Be the Boss' scheme, to be delivered by the Royal British Legion, will provide ex-service personnel with loans and grants to assist with the costs of starting and growing a business.

Ex-service personnel, who have been discharged since 7th October 2001, will be able to apply for a loan of up to £30,000 and grants of up to £7,500 through the new scheme.

In the UK, there are currently more than 200 franchise brands that are operated and owned by ex-service personnel. Some franchises have, in fact, been created by those who have left the Armed Forces.

FDS are now offering expert advice and guidance for ex-servicemen and women looking to become their own boss including matching them to franchises that are of interest.

If you are about to or recently left the Armed Forces, contact FDS today to discover how our FranMatch service can help you.
