Mahmoods recommends FDS

"I had toyed with the idea of franchising the Mahmoods business for quite a while," recalls Tariq Mahmood. "However, I could not find a company I liked or trusted enough to help me take the next step. I visited the National Franchise Exhibition held at Birmingham NEC and met Franchise Development Services (FDS). I was introduced to FDS North Franchise Consultant Tony Urwin, and I found we got on really well. Despite my extensive research into how I would go about franchising the Mahmoods business model I was still nervous. However, Tony helped erase any doubts I had regarding my decision.

"Looking back, I would definitely say I made the right choice to seek guidance from Tony. We have a very good working relationship and my business partner, Mahboob Hussain and I have been extremely satisfied with the service. Our aim for 2009 was initially to establish five franchise sites. We have almost achieved this target and have signed four franchise owners. Without Tony's input, we would not have achieved this level of success, nor would we be conducting the business in this particular professional manner."

Established in Bradford in 2001, Mahmoods is a halal fast food restaurant and was founded by Tariq Mahmood and Mahboob Hussain.
